St. John Eudes' Safeguard the Children Committee is led by our volunteer chairperson, Jerry Neihaus, an SJE School Parent. This committee was formed to facilitate the dissemination of information and the sharing of resources towards prevention of abuse and neglect of our children and young people. We meet three times per year to discuss current events, possible speakers, and to report on implementation of policies within our various departments and ministries.

Our speaker for the 2006-2007 School and Catechetical Year was a representative form the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office. The topic, Internet Safety, brought out over 100 parents to the Grill Hall.

For the 2007-2008 School and Catechetical Year, join Mary Lou McGee as she discusses "Peaceful Conflict Resolution in the Family."  This event is scheduled for October 10, 2007, at 7pm in the Grill Hall. Childcare is available.
