For some families, the traditional weekly Parish Religious Education Program (PREP) is simply not an option.  Whether because of distance, lack of transportation, work schedules, or other family commitments, some families are not able to bring their children to class. For others, Summer PREP provides a safe, fun, and faith-filled way to not only learn and grow in faith and meet new friends instead of being home alone during the day.

Summer PREP, started in 2005, is the answer to those concerns and others for many families.  For two weeks in July , children fulfill the instructional requirement of our program.  Of course, there are other requirements that must be met over the course of the year (i.e., parent meetings, retreats, and two Whole Community Assemblies) to satisfactorily complete either the first or second year requirements.

We use Blest Are We by Silver Burdett Ginn.  Our schedule is based on the Vacation Bible School "centers" model.  Please refer to the Summer PREP Brochure for more information and a sample schedule.
